Summer Stroll on 3rd is a fully immersive Third Avenue experience right in the heart of Bay Ridge that takes place on four Friday evenings spanning from July to August! Part of New York City’s Open Streets program, Summer Stroll on 3rd is designed to allow everyone to freely play, walk, dine and enjoy avenue-wide cultural activities.
Summer Stroll on 3rd encourages Brooklynites from near and far to come and enjoy music, performances, book signings, children’s activities, vintage shops, food and fun. In 2012, more than 6,000 people took part in discovering the wonders of Open Streets only few steps away from their homes. All artists, performers, cultural organizations and merchants are strongly encouraged to take part in Summer Stroll on 3rd!

Summer Stroll on 3rd is a project of the New York City Department of Transportation. DOT is joined by several other city agencies and the Mayor’s Fund to advance New York City to present Summer Stroll.
